It’s not easy to explain taking 2 doors off a model, transforming it into something new, then putting the 2 doors back and calling it a completely different thing. BMW knows it and knows that people will be confused about the new 4 Series Gran Coupe.
That’s why it brought forward the design team that worked on the new model, to explain exactly how the car came to life and why it’s called a 4-door coupe instead of a sedan. Amongst them you’ll find BMW’s head of Exterior Desing, Domagoj Dukec that will explain to you exactly what a coupe is.
The new model will make its world debut at the Geneva Motor Show, this spring, going on sale on June 21 with prices between the Coupe and the Convertible model. An M4 version is expected towards the end of this year too or in early 2015 at the latest.
