It seems like we were right when we said that the 4 Series Gran Coupe will be making its world debut at Geneva. The first official photo of the new 4-door coupe was already leaked, hinting at an imminent launch.
The guys from autofilou.at posted a photo with the entire 4 Series range today, with the Convertible and Coupe in the background. The new Gran Coupe looks rather good but it’s still pointless if you ask me.
They initially took two doors off the 3 Series and made the 4 Series Coupe a standalone car only to give it two doors back and make the Gran Coupe, a sleeker sedan with a sloping roofline.
There’s no doubt that this new model was only created to compete with the A5 Sportback but what about the 3er? Who will even consider it now, that the more stylish Gran Coupe is out?
Either way, until we get an official statement from BMW including the complete photo set and engine details, we can’t really give it a thumbs up or down but we can, fortunately, take a look at it, even if it's only from the side.
