It finally happened: the first front-wheel-drive BMW is here and it’s here to stay and win your hearts over. Will it succeed? Well, maybe not for the die-hard fans of the brand out there but it will surely appeal to a completely new demographic, I’m sure.
The Munich-based company is trying really hard to make the new 2 Series Active Tourer popular from day one. Therefore, in typical BMW fashion, it quickly released a video to explain itself.
The people in charge of discussing the new car were Frank Niederlander, Head of Product Management 2 Series Active Tourer and Domagoj Dukec, Head of Exterior Design. While the former explained the practicality and versatility of the new model, the latter took over to explain its looks.
The new Active Tourer will be making its world debut at Geneva, next month and will go on sale this year in 2 trim lines, Modern and Luxury in Europe, respectively Luxury and Sport line in the US with M Sport to follow in November alongside all-wheel-drive models.
