Perhaps not as widespread as their Chevrolet C10 counterparts on the pre-owned market, old Ford F-100s have an equal amount of appeal for buyers. And when done right, the Blue Oval’s former half-ton star of the F-Series can surely hold its own against whatever the competition has to throw at it.
Since the start of December, as part of our Celebration Month coverage, we managed to uncover a decent number of F-100s worth talking about. This week, we kick off the proceeding with a pickup truck of this family coming from 1975, about a decade before the nameplate was discontinued.

Believe it or, the bright orange sprayed on the body is a color that apparently was offered by Ford itself for the model back then. Called Coral Orange, it beautifully wraps around a body that has been through a total restoration process not long ago.

Sporting black stripes from front to rear over the orange paint, a hood scoop up front, and black powered coated steel wheels, the short bed presents a fair share of chromed elements at the front, but a shaved look at the rear to create a nice asymmetry. For effect, the tonneau cover at the back also comes in black.

Inside, the truck opens the same mix of orange and black, only this time we’re getting a pint of grey and beige as well. The clean dashboard shows all the gauges, but also an aftermarket CD player below the temp sliders.

The engine on this truck is a rebuilt 302-ci (5.0-liter) V8, linked to a 3-speed automatic transmission – no performance numbers are provided. According to the available data, there are close to 57,000 miles (92,000 km) shown on the clock.

The orange, black-badged Ford F-100 is for sale, with the dealer in charge of finding a new owner listing it for $26,900.
