I don’t know if this video is old and someone re-uploaded it, but what happens in it is amazing and perfectly serves as educational material to learn how to spot idiots in traffic before they do you wrong.
According to some reports, the incident happened in Uberaba City, Brazil, and if you watch the video, you’ll see one of the stupidest maneuvers a driver can take without thoroughly checking his surroundings.

The surveillance camera records a silver Fiat Uno hatchback stopping in an intersection where I’m betting you aren’t allowed to make a U-turn or stop. The car stays on the right side of the road for a few moments after which it suddenly initiates the turning maneuver.

But he failed to notice the rider on a Kawasaki Vulcan 900 coming on the second lane. Textbook SMIDSY situation ensues, but something mind-boggling happens - the big cruiser had so much force it tipped the Fiat over on its side during the impact.

Personally, I've never seed that happen before, and I’ve watched hundreds of bike-crash videos. However, this is just part of the amazing story. Looking at how hard the rider crashed into the side of the car, you’d cringe and presume he is pretty dead.

But there are some reports that say he is fine. Although it’s hard to believe, locals claim he only suffered some bruises. To be honest, the rider was wearing a full protection kit, and, despite riding a big cruiser, he had a full-face helmet.

Moreover, the bike appears to have hit the car in the door, which deforms a lot and acts as a shock absorber, so the story does seem to be plausible.

So, what do we learn from this mess? If you ride, look for anything suspicious. If you see a car stopping somewhere it shouldn’t, it’s likely that it will do something stupid. Let go of the gas, prepare for braking and look for a possible way out.

If you’re a driver, for the name of the dinosaurs that died for us to burn their remains to go shopping, please look out for riders. Check your mirrors and perform a shoulder check every time you turn or change lanes.
