Russian Biker Gets Clipped By Really Stupid Driver Turning Left

This pretty hard to watch clip below is a perfect example why you should always slow down when riding through an intersection, even if you have the right of way.
Personally, I have a rule of my own which I try to follow each time I get on the motorcycle: if there's a space a car can fit in, at some point and careless idiot will try to occupy it without looking.

And I'm not necessarily talking about an empty parking space or a traffic gap. This could be well enough applying to a yard, street and basically everywhere a car can go.

Heck, I saw enough morons making a U-turn over double lines without even checking their mirror first that made me swear I'll be careful even on a straight road without adjacent merging streets or parking lots.

If the guy riding here in the video had come to the same conclusion, he might have had a chance stopping or dodging that damn idiot that cut him off. In fact, you can see there were many factors involved in this crash that should make you think twice now when rushing through an intersection.

First, we have the moron driver in the white car who makes a blind left turn from the wrong lane. Next is the other car coming from the opposite way which is most probably blocking the view ahead and the moron can't see a motorcycle is approaching quite fast on the first lane.

So the dumb driver guns it forward and clips the bike, making a mess of it and throwing the rider several meters through the air before landing on the crosswalk on the opposite side of the intersection.

Luckily he missed the two lamp posts and landed on the concrete. According to the source, he is alive, although he suffered serious injuries. So, let this clip be a lesson for all you guys and girls. Keep it slow around the city and always be on high alert.
