The hierarchy of our society is so that even when it comes to means of transportation there's a pyramid. At the bottom there are the bicycles everyone can afford, then come the motorcycles and cars for the masses, after that the luxury versions of those, and at the very top there are the private helicopters, planes, and yachts. And on the very top of those higher levels sits the Contest 67CS sailing cruiser with its brand new Bentley-made interior.
The 67CS is a line of yachts made by Dutch company Contest using designs by Germany's judel/vrolijk & co. Each members of this family comes with a length of 21.26 meters (almost 70 feet), a beam of 6.5 meters (18.5 feet), and a displacement of 39,500 kg (87,000 pounds).

The thing was meant for sailing, and it can do so even in open ocean. Its on-water capabilities are not what concerns us today, though, but the thing's interior.

Like with all vehicles of its social status, the 67CS yacht can be customized as per the desires of a customer. And one of them, unnamed of course, just had the idea to ask Bentley to design the interior of their cruiser. Because this guy (or gal), we're told, is also a Bentley customer, the British carmaker agreed, and the results are sitting before you right now.

Those of you who have seen a Bentley interior, even in photos and videos, will immediately recognize the carmaker's style in the materials used, the stitching, and the logos carefully and discreetly placed throughout.

But Bentley went beyond using diamond quilted hides, or hand cross-stitching materials on different objects. So important is this customer for the company that it even went out and designed furniture.

That's right, the chairs you can admire inside this cruiser (with the Malvern one following the geometry of Bentley cars), the bespoke bar and vanity unit, the captain's chair, and even that wacky egg-shaped table, they are all designs by Bentley.

Some weirdly shaped items, like a tissue box and drink coasters, can be seen spread throughout, and they too are the result of Bentley people responding to their customer's requests.

The Brits do not say how much money or time went into making the interior for this particular Contest 67CS sailing cruiser. Still, it's not hard to imagine it's a price that's completely out of reach for most of the people who make up the social pyramid of our society.

As for the cost of a Contest 67CS cruiser, the price tag on that is not public knowledge either. Even if we knew it, it only would have been informative at best, because, as clearly demonstrated by the Bentley-specced one, it's the custom choices that matter the most.
