Bentley Sao Paolo Open for Business

British carmaker Bentley announced in the end of last week it has opened a new showroom in Brazil, bringing the total number of South American Bentley shops to 48. Located in Sao Paolo, the new showroom is considered by the carmaker an essential part of its push into the market.

“We are pleased to welcome British Cars do Brasil Ltda to the Bentley family,” Christophe Georges, President & Chief Operating Officer, Bentley Motors said in a release. “This is truly a momentous occasion for the Bentley brand as this fine showroom demonstrates not only our continued expansion in the Americas’ region, but also our acknowledgment of Sao Paulo as a major center of commerce, luxury and culture in South America.”

Bentley Sao Paolo will be headed by Joseph Tutundjian, along with his partners Antonio João Abdalla Filho, Carlos Roberto Franco De Mattos Junior and Mauro Saddi.

“My partners and I are truly honored to represent the Bentley brand here in Sao Paulo,” said Tutundjian. “We have long appreciated the craftsmanship, quality and performance that Bentley automobiles have to offer and we are excited about their market potential here in South America.”

In South America, Bentley Motors now employs 35 people  and operates 48 dealerships. It sells here all of the manufacturer's vehicles, with units sales for 2009 standing at 1,450 vehicles. The introduction of the Mulsanne flagship sedan and Supersports Convertible later this year is hoped to further improve those numbers.
