Bentley Driver Attacks Girlfriend, Is Chased by LA Police

Apparently, some motorists in Hollywood take real life for action movies which are filmed in the area. This might be the case of a white Bentley driver who has been chased by the Los Angeles police on the highway for three hours, cbs2.com reported.

The man was wanted for assault with a deadly weapon on his girlfriend, so California Highway Patrol and police officers proceeded to a chase until the Bentley driver finally decided to stop on a street in Universal City north of Hollywood, the same place where the chase began more than three hours before. Los Angeles police Officer Karen Smith says the chase after the white Bentley with Illinois number plates began shortly before 8 p.m. Monday on Lankershim Boulevard in North Hollywood.

Thus, the motorist led the officers southbound on the Hollywood Freeway and kept heading south nearly to the coast, then headed back north before pulling over near where the chase began. The interesting part is that he was driving less than 40 mph! Oh well, at least he wasn't speeding.

The moment he eventually pulled over, cops with guns drawn surrounded the vehicle which had its trunk open and he has yet to surrender to authorities. Wow, just like in the movies!

So far, we don't know if the man truly intended to escape the cops or if he just wanted to be in the center of Los Angeles police's attention. We tend to bet on the second option,  adding a little action movie-starring desire to the whole scenario. However, no matter the reasons for his escape, the guy has to face the consequences for his actions, including the attack on his girlfriend.
