Bentley is looking to develop new ways of making its vehicles greener, but since the company’s models must meet a certain driving dynamics standard, this is no easy task. However, the British carmaker recently revealed that it is considering using plug-in hybrid technology in the future, as autocar writes.
The carmaker’s engineering chief, Rolf Frech, confirmed for the aforementioned source that the VW Group is working to develop hybrid drivetrains and that the company might use this tech pathway in the future.

Hybrid technology provides great torque and this perfectly fits the Bentley standard values, as the company is well known for offering engines with great low-end torque. The company will introduce new power options in the next few years, but the details are limited so far - we’ll be back with more info as soon as we get our hands on it.
