The time has come for the Bentley Bentayga to go black. Tagged as the S Black Edition, the luxury SUV receives the black-tinted wings. It is a first in the automaker's 105-year history.
Bentley claims that the Bentayga S Black Edition is the most visually striking SUV to date. It comes with bright accent colors, black detailing, and high-end chassis technology.

There are seven accent colors available: Mandarin, Signal Yellow, Klein Blue, Pillar Box Red, Ice, Hyper Green, and Beluga. They are there to build up a head-turning contrast with the stealthy black look of the SUV.

Those accents follow the shape of a laser-like stripe on the Styling Specification body kit below the front bumper and side sills, going all the way across the top of the rear spoiler. The 22-inch black-painted wheels sport brake calipers in the same colors as the accents.

The Bentley Bentayga S Black Edition is the first model in Bentley's 105-year history to sport the Bentley Wings and lettering in gloss black. Furthermore, a Black Edition badge shows up on the D pillar.

Bentley updated the Bentayga at the beginning of the year, offering more customization options. It brought new satin paintworks to the lineup, as well as 21-inch wheel options in three different finishes.

A new radiator grille, new chassis technology, and a new electrical architecture were part of the update. The luxury carmaker also came up with the all-wheel steering at the launch of the Bentayga Extended Wheelbase for increased maneuverability and for the reduction of the turning circle by nearly 1 meter (3.3 feet). The system is now standard on the Bentayga Azure and S V8.

The all-new S Black Edition also receives a unique interior color layout, a mix between the Beluga leather and the vivid accent color. Contrast stitching, contrast piping and accent-coloured sections round up the space of the cabin. The "S" emblem in black is embroidered on each seat.

Bentley installed a new carbon fiber weave on the dashboard, center console, and waistrails. A new Dark Chrome back comes standard, turning the bullseye air vents, their organ stop controls, and center vents gloss black instead of chrome.

Customers can order the Bentayga S Hybrid Black Edition as well. It is powered by a 3.0-liter TFSI V6 petrol engine and an electric motor for a total of 456 horsepower (4622 metric horsepower). Those figures make the SUV accelerate from 0 to 62 mph (0 to 100 kph) in 5.3 seconds on its way to a top speed of 158 mph (254 kph).

The range-topping version available as a Black Edition is the one powered by the 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 pumping out 542 horsepower (550 metric horsepower) and 568 pound-feet (770 Newton meters) of torque. Those are the figures that the Bentley Bentayga S Black Edition is credited with.
