The Mercedes-Benz B-Class has recently had its pricing reduced on the South Korean market. The price of the most basic model in the race has been cut by no less than 2.2 million Won (US$1 equals to approximately W1,099).
This means that the cheapest B-Class you can currently buy in South Korea (B180) is now W37.3 million instead of W39.5 million, while a better specced version with the same engine has shrunk its price from W43.9 million to 41.7 million.
The official reason for the price cuts are because the model no longer offers an array of giveaways that were previously given as freebies included in the car's price, such as basic replacement parts in service stations. Those freebies can now be bought by paying an extra W990,000.
The unofficial reason seems to be the fact that total B-Class sales in South Korea have amounted to only around 500 units since the beginning of 2013, which is not exactly something that Mercedes-Benz would like to brag about.
