Audi R8 Spyder Has Some Drifting Fun in the Snow

Supercar tires, supercar brakes, supercar clutches – these are all expensive to replace or fix. But what's the point of having a supercar if you can't enjoy it a little?
UK car spotter Shmee150 recently bought himself an Audi R8 Spyder, a V10 model if we're not mistaken. Taking advantage of the recent cold spell that's hit Britain, he took his price and joy out for a bit of snow drifting.

In some places, the surface is like sheet ice on, so he can't really give the R8 the beans, which is a shame. But even though it's got quattro all-wheel drive, he manages to put on a show. This is partly because the German engineers set this car up to be fun rather than safe, with most of the power going to the back wheels. A dab of handbrake and a bit of lead footedness ensures the perfect winter supercar ballet.
