German aftermarket developer B&B Automobiltechnik had already included the Audi R8 V10 in its portofolio and now the company is releasing a new evolution of its kit for the supercar.
The previous R8-related development from B&B targeted a Coupe, which was taken to 610 hp and 600 Nm (442.5 lb-ft). The company now targets a Spyder, which has been taken to 628 hp and 585 Nm (431.5 lb-ft) of torque.
The V10 engine has been gifted with a carbon air filter, a custom exhaust system, as well as an ECU remap. The ECU of the R-Tronic robotized manual gearbox has also been remapped, with the tuner bragging that the shifts are now quicker than those in the R8 GT.
While the standard car needs 4s to cover the 0 to 62 mph sprint, B&B’s proposal deals with the job in 3.5 seconds. The tuned roadster needs 10.8 seconds to hit 124 mph (200 km/h). As for the top speed, this has been increased from 196 mph (316km/h) to 204 mph (328km/h).
To cope with the extra power, the B&B Audi R8 V10 Spyder has also been fitted with a lowering suspension, which brings it closer to the road by 20 mm at the front and by 25 mm at the back. In addition to that, the supercar can ride on custom 19- or 20-inch wheels.
