Now that Audi has played the Le Mans game using both petrol and diesel power, the company wanted to switch to a hybrid scheme for this year and thus it’s bringing us the R18 e-tron quattro.
The racer uses a diesel-electric hybrid drivetrain, which also offers the advantage of four-wheel drive, with the carmaker having high hopes for this year’s Le Mans. We have to admit that we're pretty curious to see how the V6 TDI and the two diesel engines will face the competition.
