Ladies and gentlemen drivers, you should know that the Nurburgring has now closed its gates for the 2018 season, with the final Touristenfahrten (Tourist Days) adventures having taken place over the weekend. Then again, the Green Hell backed up its nickname until the very end. That's right, we're talking about a crash here.
The accident involved an Audi A3, one whose driver got himself into trouble in a rather ridiculous manner. In other words, the crash, which wasn't serious, could've been easily avoided.

Judging by what we can see in the piece of footage at the bottom of the page, which documents the stunt, the one behind the wheel decided to push the car, despite the wet track.

And while we don't get to see the exact moment when the A3 lost traction, it all looks like a case of lift-off oversteer - the driver seems to have lifted after entering the corner, which caused the weight of the car to be shifted onto the front wheels. Thus, the lighter rear end went sideways.

At the point, the one behind the wheel could've countersteered and gently stepped on the gas, which should've brought the posterior back in line. Admittedly, such maneuvers can also lead to an overcorrection, which could've easily sent the Audi spinning the other way.

Regardless, the driver panicked and stepped on the brake, which only amplified the sideways movement. As such, the German compact inevitably ended up kissing the guardrail.

And while the car still seemed drivable after the crash, the driver only turned the car around, but didn't take it out of the danger zone - looks like the Nurburgring sticker on the back of the Audi didn't help the guy make track-savvy decisions.

Those of you who happen to be in a hurry should know that the A3 crash awaits them at the 7:04 point of the video. However, the rest of the clip is also worthy of attention, as, for instance, it shows multiple slides (the weather did help with that).
