The relentless expansion of the German trio of premium automakers just keeps on going. This time it`s Audi, who have announced that they plan to sell at least 20,000 vehicles in the Middle East, by 2020. Last year, they managed to sell some 9,155 vehicles in total, which represents a growth figure of 16.4% over 2011.
They also decided to add some fresh blood to the sales and after sales services team in the region, so they now have a newly-appointed Managing Director - Trevor Hill, whom they hope will find new ways of offering customers higher levels of satisfaction during the purchase of the car, as well as afterward.

He said: “Audi is at present the fastest growing German premium brand in the Middle East. In 2013 our focus is on strengthening our infrastructure backbone in terms of sales and after sales service facilities. Together with our regional partners we currently have seven major construction projects on the way. By extending our training programs, we will also further emphasize qualification and quality of service."

The main market in the region is that of the United Arab Emirates, or UAE, which accounted for 41% of the sales, followed by Saudi Arabia and Kuwait, all of which recorded growth figures of around 20% year-on-year.
