Audi USA has just unveiled a brand new, much more expensive version of its RS7 performance four-door called the "Dynamic Edition". It's an uninspiring name for a collection of very cool parts which when combined lift the price of the car to a scarcely believable $146,045. When we realized the normal RS costs just $104,900, our curiosity was sparked.
Just like a tuning project, the RS7 Dynamic Edition features more exclusive trim pieces. Built with attention to details under the exclusive personalization program, it comes with a carbon fiber front splitter, a carbon fiber diffuser and a carbon fiber engine cover.

Four special color choices have been selected for the Dynamic Edition, named Ibis White, Suzuka Gray metallic, Daytona Gray pearl and Phantom Black pearl. They are accompanied by 221-inch wheels with Gloss Black Accents

The typically black interior of the RS7 will not be to everyone's tastes, but this hot new model will surely impress existing Audi fans. The cabin has been equipped with black Valcona leather seats, Crimson Red belts and Crimson Red contrast stitching. It's subtle, but the carbon fiber dash piece and gear selector surround create visual focal points.

Power for continue to come from the 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 rated un the US at 552 hp (560 PS). But a sports exhaust plus the RS sport suspension with Dynamic Ride Control (DRC) should make the RS7 feel special to drive.

“The Audi exclusive RS 7 dynamic edition exemplifies just some of the personalization options that are possible through our Audi exclusive program”, commented Filip Brabec, Director of Product Planning, Audi of America. “The combination of our most powerful RS model ever and the added customized elements make this a truly special car to drive and to behold.”

We'll find out if the cosmetically enhanced RS7 is worth R8 V10 money when it makes its official debut this week at the New York Auto Show.
