Audi has just opened order books for its flagship SUV. The 2025 Q7 starts at $60,500, but the range-topping SQ7 is a 500-horsepower affair with a price to match that oomph.
Audi is trying to revive the looks and sales figures of its flagship SUV, the Q7, which has been on the market for almost a decade but has gone through its second facelift following the one in 2020, exactly when everyone was expecting a new generation.

The German automaker credits it with fresh looks and updated tech. American customers can now order the model that Audi unveiled back in January.

The Germans slightly redesigned the model, coming up with new bumpers and a new Audi Singleframe octagonal grille flanked by headlights, now sitting in an elevated position and sporting a new layout that splits them into two sections, thus making it resemble the rest of the new lineup.

Audi now offers HD Matrix LED headlights with laser technology, active at speeds above 39 mph, and digital daytime running lights with selectable light signatures for the first time in the Q7 lineup. A new diffuser showed up at the opposite end in the company of new functional exhaust pipes.

Five new wheel designs have shown up in the Q7 range, with the largest of them measuring 22 inches. New metallic paintworks colors are also available, so customers can also put the Ascari Blue, Sakhir Gold, and Child Red on their list to choose from.

An upgraded infotainment system is also on the menu, now offering compatibility with third-party applications such as Spotify, Amazon Music, or YouTube. Audi has also come up with new trims, such as S line, Black Edition, Launch Edition, and Vorsprung.

There is no change in the engine lineup, though. So the entry-level variant remains the one powered by the 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine, the Q7 45, starting at $60,500.

Upper in the range, there is the Q7 55 with the 3.0-liter turbocharged V6 engine, 335 horsepower, and an MSRP of $65,800.

The Audi SQ7 sits at the top of the lineup with its 4.0-liter V8 engine, pumping out 500 horsepower (507 metric horsepower) and 568 pound-feet (770 Newton meters) of torque for a run from 0 to 62 mph (0 to 97 kph) in 4.1 seconds. Those who want to drive the range-topping variant home will have to start at $90,000.

The top-of-the-line SQ7 sports an impressive 7,700-pound towing capacity, as well as a cylinder-on-demand system for improved efficiency.

Europe will also get the TDI version. All powertrains are linked to Audi's eight-speed tiptronic auto box and Quattro all-wheel drive. The adaptive air suspension is also standard equipment, while the SQ7 gets a sport rear differential and the electromechanical Active roll stabilization system (eAWS).
