Aston Martin, the Coolest Brand in the UK

British consumers, regardless of their purchasing preferences, seem to have come to their senses when asked what is the coolest brand in the country. Whereas up until now their majority considered the iPhone as the coolest item on the market, a more recent survey from CoolBrands Council puts Aston Martin where it should have been from the get-go: in first place.

The new survey took into account thousands of brands present on the British market, regardless of the type, nature and use of the products being marketed under the brand's name. Out of them 1,200 brands were selected by independent researchers, with the list being than narrowed even more to 650 brands.

The surviving brands were posted on YouGov, where they were voted by consumers. In the end, the top of the coolest brands in the UK is a combination of votes from 2,000 consumers and 35 designers, style magazine editors and website executives.

The number one position in this goes, as said, to Aston Martin. It is closely followed by two Apple products, the iPhone and iPod, with the fourth position being occupied by the BlackBerry. Bang & Olufsen ranks fifth, followed by Harley-Davidson, Nintendo Wii and Google. The full list of the top 20 UK coolest brands is listed below.
