Aston Martin introduced the V8 Vantage N420 model in July, with the model being inspired from the British carmaker’s race cars and following the V8 Vantage N400 model, which was launched in 2007.
Now, Aston Martin is offering us the first images of the N420 Roadster model that will have its world premiere at the upcoming Paris Auto Show.
However, the British company hasn’t offered any details about the motorsport-inspired topless vehicle, only allowing us to enjoy the pictures. We expect the car to come with the same engine as the coupe version, which means that it will be powered by a 4.7 liter V8 unit that produces 420 hp. In the coupe, the engine can be mated to a six-speed manual transmission or to an optional Sportshift automated manual gearbox. The powerplant allows the coupe version to reach a top speed of 180 mph (290 km/h).
The coupe incarnation of the N420 tips the scales 27 kg lighter than the standard Vantage, as it uses multiple carbon fiber components, so we expect the Roadster to use a similar weight-reduction program.
The N420 Roadster comes with multiple new aerodynamic features. As for the interior of the vehicle, this also comes with fresh features, with one example being a new set of sport seats that feature the N420 logo on the headrests.
autoevolution will be attending the 2010 Paris Auto Show, so stay tuned for some real up close and personal shots of the vehicles, as well as for first-hand details of the motorized contraptions presented at the event.
