Armed Employee Takes Hostages at BMW France

We don't really know the reason for starting such a terrible drama, but a BMW employee decided to take hostages in the office he worked on Monday, November 8. Details are pretty much kept secret and, although everyone is curious to find out the reason behind his actions, the gunman remains in police custody for the time being.

It all started on Monday when an armed individual, believed to be approximately 50-year old, took three hostages, two of whom were the receptionist and a salesman. Furthermore, he fired in the air several times, but nobody was injured.

The two-hour drama ended after an elite anti-crime brigade in Montigny-le-Bretonneux apprehended the armed employee, so investigations are still under way.

As expected, neither BMW nor police representatives wanted to talk about this case, but more details are likely to surface in the near future. Of course, there's a lot of speculation around what happened on Monday, but nobody knows for sure whether the gunman had any requests to the police or to BMW.

This isn't the first time when such a scenario takes place in an office, so it might be a good idea to see carmakers ask for a mental evaluation before hiring new people. Maybe he was only upset because he hasn't managed to sell that awful X6 model. Or maybe he tried to make BMW listen to him when screaming that the seats used by the German manufacturer are way too firm... Whatever the reason, let's just hope we'll never see him behind the steering wheel ever again...
