We've literally seen countless aftermarket takes on the Lamborghini Urus since it broke cover almost six years ago. From the occasional off-road-y mods to all kinds of beefed-up body kits and various power boosts, name it, and it's been done. But what we haven't seen was a Hot Wheels conversion – until now.
Enter 1016 Industries, an American tuner known for its numerous projects that include various rides from different brands. The Urus has been in their portfolio for a few years, and they have all sorts of goodies for the pre-facelifted iteration, as well as the track-focused Performante. Their latest encounter with the Italian company's super crossover is, however, something else.

Obviously not to everyone's taste, this Lamborghini Urus, which made its way to the tuner's social media accounts a few hours ago, immediately stands out due to that unique wrap. It mixes white as the main color with all sorts of graphics that remind of Hot Wheels' creations. The vinyl wrap also features a patina look, otherwise replicated on the OEM logo on the vehicle's nose. The occasional forged carbon finish contributes to the enhanced design.

Due to the bold wrap, it's easy to ignore the rest of the modifications. But this Lamborghini Urus also features a wide body kit. This comprises the usual add-ons all around, including at the front and rear, joined by fatter side skirts and ultra-wide wheel arches. It appears the hood came from the aftermarket world, too, and we may not be wheel experts, but that concave set, with a black hue on it, appears to have been applied post-production.

A look inside would've been great, but unfortunately, this is where 1016 Industries drew the line, so we can only assume that the cockpit carries over without any (significant) tweaks. The same can probably be said about the powertrain, which is likely the stock twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8. In the pre-facelifted iteration, it develops 641 hp (650 ps/478 kW), with the output standing at 657 hp (666 ps/490 kW) in the Urus S and Urus Performante. At 627 lb-ft (850 Nm), the thrust is the same across the range.

The Urus family is about to welcome an entirely new member: the plug-in hybrid. Spied numerous times these past few months, the electrified model is expected sometime next year, according to Lambo's head honcho, Stephan Winkelmann, and not much is known about the powertrain. Reports speak of an assembly sharing many things with that of the Porsche Cayenne Turbo S E-Hybrid, which has 657 hp (666 ps/490 kW) to play with. The total output might be increased to roughly 690 hp (700 ps/515 kW), but that remains to be seen. Meanwhile, let us know what you think of the pictured Urus.
