The very doors sills of this car are stamps with the words "Aston Martin Vanquish - Hand Built in England". It is the evolution of the supercar-GT genre that has all the latest ingredients, mixed together using the lessons learned from the One-77 program.

Just like Lamborghini learned from its exclusive projects and created the Aventador's carbon fiber tub, so too did the Brits advace their use of composites. The chassis is made from aluminum, while the body is carbon fiber, exposed in places to let you admire the craftsmanship.

For a $282,000 car, the figures aren't that impressive. It only has six gears on its relatively simple automatic gearbox and a 48-valve V12 engine producing 565bhp.

In the latest promo released by Aston Martin shows the Vanquish coming to life in spectacular fashion. This cool animation brings the chassis, carbon fiber body and V12 engine together, also giving us a bit of insight into customization options for the leather upholstery or wheels.

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
