The Bavarian BMW tuner and car manufacturer Alpina has just released the first details about their new B4 Bi-Turbo Cabriolet model just two weeks before its official launch at the upcoming 2014 Geneva Motor Show.
Essentially a convertible version of the Alpina B4 Bi-Turbo Coupe, which was unveiled at the 2013 Tokyo Motor Show, the new model is based on the BMW 435i Cabrio, albeit few original parts from that car's engine remain.

Its N55 three-liter engine has been twin-turbocharged, leading to a total output of 410 hp and 600 Nm (443 lb ft) of torque. This translates into a dramatic increase in performance, with the 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) sprint being covered in just 4.5 seconds.

The power is delivered to the rear wheels via the highly-efficient eight-speed automatic transmission from ZF, which also allows the car to average just 8 liters per 100 km (29.4 mpg) in average.

The Alpina B4 Bi-Turbo Cabriolet will join its Coupe brother on sales in about a month from now, with pricing to start at EUR 74,800, or EUR 6,200 more than the rear-wheel drive Bi-Turbo Coupe.
