The Toyota RAV4 is the grandaddy of the all, one of the most popular small SUVs for the urban environment. It’s been around in one form or another for 18 years now, evolving from a compact two-door to a big five-door better suited to American tastes.
The fourth-generation model is getting ready for its big debut, and while we’re worried about the rumors that it’s based on the Camry, we like the new styling. The reinvigorated RAV4 looks like the Yaris or Auris and is sure to attract plenty of buyers once it makes its debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show.
This is the first glimpse we got of the car, a trailer released to tease up into a frenzy. The only piece of information is that the new RAV4 will rewrite “the rules of style, embodying sophistication and strength - a dynamism that adapts to the changing pace of life."
