The MiTo Quadrifoglio Verde was revealed together with the rest of the 2011 Alfa Romeo MiTo range back in February, however we never got around talking about the thoroughbred pony in detail. It must be the long Italian name, or the somewhat high price, but Quadrifoglio Verde models don’t seem to be grabbing attention like say a Golf GTI Edition 35.

Now however, Alfa Romeo has turned its attention on the car, unleashing its full Italian customizing might on both the body and the interior. With updated dynamic exterior styling and an all-new sports interior, the latest range topping Alfa MiTo Quadrifoglio Verde will be on sale in late July/early August for £18,755 OTR, with its UK public debut scheduled at the Goodwood Festival of Speed this week.

The front fascia has been restyled to give the MiTo the impression of a ground hugging, sporty car, while the fog lights are now finished with black surrounds. The wing mirrors, headlight (and rear light) surrounds, and door handles are now finished in a pearlescent, satin effect material.

New 18-inch alloy wheels have been fitted as standard, replacing the previous model year’s 17-inch ones. They are wrapped low profile 215/40 tyres give the MiTo an even more muscular look.

Inside, the standard sports seats now feature a central column in Alcantara suede for increased style and comfort. The totally black interior is now coupled by two-tone (green and white) artisanal seams on the seats, steering wheel, hand brake lever and gear knob.

As an exclusive option, the Alfista trim level features stunning carbon fibre backed Sabelt bucket seats which have been specifically styled and designed for the MiTo. With a wraparound backrest in TWILL 200 carbon fibre, matching the carbon fibre effect on the MiTo dashboard, and made using RTM (Resin Transfer Moulding) technology, these Sabelt seats reduce weight and also increase driver support.

Additional equipment as standard on the Quadrifoglio Verde includes a new USB and AUX-in socket allowing you to connect your MP3 player directly to the Blue&Me Bluetooth hands-free system, cruise control, aluminium kickplates and sports pedals, sports dials with white illumination, red painted brake callipers, sports rear bumper with extractor, rear spoiler, chrome exhaust pipe and rear parking sensors.
