Alfa Romeo Releases MiTo Sprint Special Edition in the UK

As part of its continued support for the UK Athletics (UKA), Alfa Romeo has just announced a new special edition to its sporty compact car range, the Alfa MiTo Sprint. The Italian carmaker’s models are offered in ‘Union Jack’ inspired colors, red, white or blue, and offer good value for money.

Alfa MiTo Sprint models come with a number of optional extras fitted as standard, including cruise control, leather steering wheel and gear stick, remote audio controls on steering wheel, Blue&Me Bluetooth hands-free system with voice recognition, and media player with a USB port.

The exterior look has been enhanced by the addition of a rear spoiler, 16-inch alloy wheels, fog lights, and unique Sprint bodging at the back. Three special colors are also available for the special edition models, namely Biancospino White, Alfa Red, or metallic Tornado Blue.

It’s not all show and no go, as the MiTo is the first Alfa Romeo car to benefit from the Alfa D.N.A. system, an innovative device that modulates the main driving parameters (engine response, stability control and power steering). It affects the engine, brakes, steering, suspension and gearbox, allowing three different vehicle behavior modes based on the driving style best suited to the situation or the customer's wishes: supersporting (Dynamic), town driving (Normal) and improved safety in low grip conditions (All weather).

Three engines are on offer for the MiTo Sprint, the 1.4-liter 16-valve 95 hp costing £13,295, a 1.4-liter TB MultiAir with 135 hp (with ALFA TCT automatic transmission) costing £16,395 and the turbodiesel 1.3 JTDM-2 95 hp version costing £14,845.
