Alfa Romeo MiTo Veloce Revealed

The Alfa Romeo MiTo model lineup has just received a new member. The long-awaited Veloce is now on display at the AutoRAI show in Amsterdam. Just like some other MiTo models - include here the upcoming GTA already presented to the public at the 2009 Geneva Motor Show - Veloce brings a boost of power plus a sportier appearance compared to the standard model.

Just as we told you some time ago, MiTo Veloce is powered by an upgraded version of the 1.4-liter four-cylinder engine installed on the base car. The turbocharged unit produces a maximum power of 180 bhp, compared to 155 bhp by default. However, the GTA flavor is going to be the top version when it comes to overall output as it is expected to bring a maximum power of 240 bhp.

As you can see for yourself in the adjacent photo - courtesy of carandgoblog.com - the MiTo Veloce brings several styling enhancements, starting with the front bumper and ending with the side skirts. The bodykit also includes partially-white exterior mirrors perfectly matching the white wheels. There's also an upgraded suspension system, as well as bigger brakes to handle the high performance produced by the uprated engine.

Interiors have also been customized and now boast sports seats and aluminum pedals, as well as a couple of different minor enhancements over the standard model.

There are no other details available at this time, but further information regarding the price and technical options are expected to be released closer to the official launch date.
