Alfa Mito QV Sets World Record for Bursting Water-Filled Balloons

We didn’t know there was a world record for bursting water-filled balloons, but apparently there is and the Alfa Romeo Mito Quadrifoglio Verde (QV for short) has broken it with a massive 2500 or so ‘bubbles’ bursts.
Alfa Romeo UK provided us with the very spectacular video of the MiTo Aquabatic Challenge, featuring plenty of slow motion shows of the hot hatch doing its thing. The media event that saw it destroy an Alfa badge made of colored balloons was meant as a way to mark the launch of the “170 hp MultiAir engined, ultra-sporty hatchback, fitted with carbon fiber backed Alcantara Sabelt bucket seats”.

“Engaging with our diverse fan base and bringing in a new generation of Alfisti through interactive campaigns like this is a key ingredient to our continued growth. Above all, we’ve been able to creatively demonstrate the nimbleness and performance ability of the MiTo Quadrifoglio Verde…and, have great fun doing so,” said Damien Dally, Head of Brand, Alfa Romeo UK.

He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
