ADRL and House of Hot Rods Present “Eye Candy” Display

US hot rod fans should be excited. This weekend, the O’Reilly Auto Parts Autorama Car Show in downtown Dallas, Texas, will host The House of Hot Rods “Eye Candy” display. The exhibit will be held with the help of the American Drag Racing League (ADRL), which will take some of the special cars to the event.

“The street rods and muscle cars that the House of Hot Rods creates have to be seen to be believed; each one is a true piece of automotive art,”
ADRL President and CEO Kenny Nowling said. “We’ve been fortunate enough to have their cars on display at a few of our races and they’re always real attention getters, so when Mark (Eddins, owner of House of Hot Rods) called to tell me about the Eye Candy show, I knew we had to get involved.”

Mark Eddins will have on display its House of Hot Rods-built ‘55 Chevy street machine called “Disturbed,” as well as the car he will be racing at the drag strips across Texas called “Anger Management.”

Other cars presented at the show include a 1969 Camaro dubbed “Black Diamond” that features an LS6 Corvette engine which produces 750 horsepower, a 1957 Chevy and a 1970 Cuda.

“We’re all looking forward to this show,” said John Paynter, general manager at the House of Hot Rods compound in Mansfield, Texas. “It gives us a chance to show off what we do to all our friends and families in the Dallas area and really offers a showcase for the talents of Chad ‘Critter’ Mahone, who does all the design work for House of Hot Rods.”
