Seeing just how popular BMW's CUV is in the United States of America, everyone wants a piece of this hot action. After Lexus announced it might release a new car to battle the X1, it's time for another Japanese manufacturer to do the same.
Honda subsidiary, Acura, is currently struggling in the US. Their sales plummeted and new resources are needed. So, the immediate solution is to copy something that is already popular. What could it be? Why, the X1, of course!

I can still remember the criticism BMW faced when they released this crossover. Releasing a SUV was certainly a bold move from the Bavarian manufacturer. They risked and won, but when it came to the X1 the risks were even bigger.

However, BMW managed to turn its faith around again, and the CUV is now one of the best-sellers on American soil. It's so popular, most manufacturers want to rival it. The possible Acura would show up in the upcoming years and will probably be based on the RDX platform.

We're sure though that the upcoming model will be no threat to the X1, as Americans already picked their favorite and things will not change too soon, not with a new Lexus and definitely not with a new Acura!
