The problem with child actors is that we never want to see them growing up. Just take Miley Cyrus and her hammer-licking activities or the fact that Macaulay Culkin doesn't quite look like an adorable little kit.
But we're not here to talk about those rather famous examples of big-screen celebs. Today's big story from the Hollywood hills (technically, from Carolina) is Jake Lloyd, whom you might remember as the boy that played Anakin Skywalker in Star Wars: The Phantom Menace, the first of the prequel trilogy.

16 years after the movie was released, Jake is a 26-year old 5' 7" (1.70 m) guy. Oh, and he's been arrested for reckless driving.

Sgt. Kyle Strickland of Colleton County Sheriff Department said after the arrest he gave the name Jake Broadbent. However, the identity was later confirmed to be that of Star Wars actor. Charges include reckless driving after hitting speeds over 100 miles an hour, resisting arrest and driving without a license, TMZ reports.

Just how reckless are we talking? Well, Jake took police on a wild chase that went on for several miles and only ended when he lost control of his car and crashed into a tree.

We don't know if Jake's ugly facial hair and his reckless behavior are a result of the "chip on the shoulder" syndrome. We do, however, know that in an interview three years ago Jake said his Anakin role made his life hellish, as he was bullied by other children. Maybe he needs to visit the next Star Wars Celebration and sign a billion autographs because bullied or not, a generation of geeks know about him.

But in case you don't want to remember the 2015 version of Jake Lloyd from the mugshot, let's view his famous pod racing scene.By using the force, Anakin wins a race he had never finished before. Later on, he is also the one responsible for singlehandedly destroying of a droid shop that was threatening the planet of Naboo.
