How many people on all sort of substances thought they’d get away from the law by going really really fast? It almost never works, and they eventually get caught.
But one woman from Myrtle Beach, North Carolina, thought she was sooooo much better than the policemen who where chasing her in their patrol car. According to myrtlebeachonline.com, Jennifer Melissa Herring, 37, called 911 in the middle of her chase and offered to stop for $300,000.
The chase continue for about 15 minutes and reached speeds of 70 mph in a 45 mph speed limit zone. Still, she was apprehended and charged with various minor infractions, like driving while impaired, felony fleeing to elude arrest, driving while license revoked, careless and reckless driving and driving left of center. Where she’s heading, she wouldn’t have had much use for her money anyway.
