Not a day goes by without us thinking about the perfect car to get away from the police in, theoretically speaking of course. If they bring an Astra, we'd bring an Audi, if they have a BMW, we want a Ferrari and if they have a Lamborghini, we definitely need a Bugatti.
However, never in the history of police chases has there been a MINI versus Holden battle, until now that is. Somewhere in Australia, police set up a road block to stop somebody in a MINI Cooper S.
The road is covered with spike strips that would puncture the MINI's tires, but the driver figures out he can go on the sidewalk and avoid them altogether. Because the policemen are all standing around instead of being in their cars, the guy makes a clean getaway and by the time the law enforces start their pursuit he's already out of sight.
