Can't wrap your head around the fact that certain people leave their cars parked somewhere in a barn and then they completely forget about them for years and sometimes decades? Neither can we, but barn finds are more common than they should be, and some of these rides often get listed for grabs without even getting so much as a simple wash.

And speaking of saving them, it was recently the turn of a Ford Mustang to get treated to water and some chemicals that truly brought it back to its initial shine.
According to WD Detailing, which recently uploaded the video embedded below on YouTube, this particular muscle car was left sitting in a barn for six years. That's where they picked it up from with the sole purpose of bringing it back to life, and after a proper hose down, it was time for the chemicals to work their magic. If the uploader is correct, then this was the red-finished Ford's first wash in eight years – imagine not washing your car for a whole month, let alone eight years.
You can make out the generation of this pony car easily, can't you? After all, the Blue Oval is not exactly known for keeping the styling of its muscle car unchanged. And if you said a fourth-gen, then you, sir, or ma'am, know your Fords. Made from 1993 to 2004, it can be considered a modern classic, especially in a hot configuration like the SVT Cobra. The automaker put it together at the Dearborn factory in Michigan, which is where the two body styles, coupe and convertible, came to life.
Multiple powertrains were available for the fourth-gen Ford Mustang when it was still in production, and these included several V6s and a multitude of V8s hooked up to several manual and automatic transmission options. And as you can imagine, it was the range-topping variants of the muscle car packing powerful V8 engines that were the most sought after. All of them shared the same construction, albeit with different chassis setups, and that included the New Edge Mustang, which was made from 1999 right until the auto marque pulled the plug on it five years later.
But enough talking about the fourth-gen Mustang, as it's now time to see this red copy being brought back to life courtesy of the arduous cleaning process. That said, head on down and hit that play button – and take a 20+ minutes brake, as that's how long the video is.
