The 2015 Tesla Model S P85D may pack two motors that allow it to play with the big boys in the supercar world, but it will never have the voice of supercar. There might be certain exceptions though and we’re here to talk about a Model S that has borrowed the voice of a... Lamborghini.
We’re not talking about any Raging Bull, as we’re focusing on a special edition, namely the Gallardo Super Trofeo Stradale. A P85D recently went head to head with the Sant’Agata Bolognese creation in a standing start drag race.

The recording equipment is placed on the 570 hp Lambo, so it’s not too difficult to watch the footage and imagine the Tesla producing the devilish soundtrack of the 5.2-liter V10. Sure, the part where the gears are changed is a tad more difficult to imagine, but we’re sure you can get over this pretty easily.

As an electric reminder, we’ll mention we’ve already shown you the dual-motor Model S battling it out with a Lamborghini Aventador, racing a Ferrari 458 Italia and even fighting against its single-motor brother, the Model S P85.

The situation isn’t much different this time. The 691 hp, 4,900 lbs (2,222 kg) all-wheel drive Tesla takes the lead from the very beginning and stays in control until its 130 mph (209 km/h) top speed limiter kicks in.

As for the 3,346 lbs (1,518 kg) Lamborghini, this also packs all-wheel drive, but we have to mention the start of the race might have been different if the drivers would’ve used more serious launch procedures.

Still, while the Model S P85D is on its way to receive an 155 mph (250 km/h) top speed update, the STS, as friends like to call the road-going version of the Gallardo Super Trofeo racer, can go all the way up to 199 mph (320 km/h).

Still, if this had been a quarter mile race, the Lambo would have most likely passed the Tesla right after the finish line.
