911 GT2 RS with 1,000 HP by Wimmer RS

After we saw last week’s massive Porsche 911 GT2 RS accident, we concluded that the last thing this hyper-Porsche needs is more power. However, that’s exactly what German tuning company Wimmer RS gave it, more power, a lot more power.

When it leaves the factory, this racing car for the road offers no less than 620 PS to whoever is skilled enough to make the most of this. Wimmer RS found that by using an ECU remap, sports cams and crank, new exhaust and optimized twin turbos, they could get it to really sing.

So now, the flat-six in the GT2 RS makes a scarcely believable 1,020 PS and also offers peak torque of 1,108 Nm (817 lb-ft). Thanks to this, the car reaches the first 100 km/h in 3.4 seconds, the second hundred in 8.7 seconds and has no problem doing 300 km/h just 15.5 seconds after it set off.

The new top speed is equally as impressive, 389km/h (242mph), about the same the Veyron.
