Just when you thought tuners were done with this generation of the Mercedes G-Class, Brabus announces it will make 10 of these G65 monsters. The 900 horsepower output is nuts, but so is the body kit, which looks like it was designed by Dartz.
Because the G-Class just wasn't boxy enough, Brabus decided to add a few more edges to the front end. There's now a gigantic hood which looks like the engine deck of a tank. It vents heat through the sides and sucks in more air through a grille that's been added in the front. Yes, this hood has a grille of its own!

I know you probably think that the G65 doesn't need 900 horsepower because it can't use it. To a degree, you are right, but because of this monster output, this brick-like 2.5-ton monster can reach 100 km/h in a sportscar-like 3.9 seconds. Not only is that 1.4 seconds faster than stock, but also on par with something like an RS5 Coupe. That should be a fun drag race to watch.

Boosting power is not as simple as you might think, though. Brabus took the 6-liter V12 and changed nearly all the internals after boring it out to a 6.3-liter. New turbochargers have also been installed, as well as a complete exhaust system. The result is torque enough for about 10 Ford Fiestas: 1,500 Nm (1,106 lb-ft). This is, after all, the most powerful V12 off-roader in the world, and the new top speed of 270 km/h (168 mph) frankly seems ridiculous.

This gas guzzler has a carbon footprint of a different variety, as the fenders have been extended another 12 cm (4.7 inches). To ensure high-speed stability, Brabus also tuned the suspension and fitted 23-inch wheels with skinny Yokohama tires.

The interior might be considered understated by some, but classy by most. The roof of the G65 is sprinkled with stars and cream/black leather dominates the experience. As we've come to expect from them, Brabus have even made the carpets out of quilted cow hides. And the cost of all this? Only 666,000 euros or around $800,000. So ten of these equals about two new Bugattis.
