Ah, the things we do for our cars... Usually, they involve taking it to the car wash periodically, visiting a workshop every time something starts rattling and, generally speaking, taking as good care of it as we possibly can.
However, even though we name it and talk to it (and, sometimes, when we feel like fooling around, it even talks back) at no point do we run the risk of forgetting it's just a car. It's a piece of metal, plastic, rubber and glass that we paid some money for just like any other object in our lives. Yes, apart from the house it's probably the most expensive, but that doesn't magically lift it to the status of living beings.

And yet people will do stupid things to protect their vehicles. Sometimes, they will go as far as risking their lives. Don't believe us? You don't have to. But you do trust your eyes, don't you? In that case, have a look at the clip below and try not to cringe at least for a couple of times. Good luck.

It all starts with a beautiful green pasture - the kind the advertising industry uses to lie to us about where the cows that are responsible for the milk we drink live. However, there are no cows there, only a big black bull and a big, white, Ford Ranger pickup. Or "ute," as they call it in those parts of the world, because as soon as somebody starts speaking, we realize this is all happening near the Land Down Under, in New Zealand.

Probably a little bored about the absence of cows, the bull is keeping itself busy poking at the rear of the truck which we have no idea why was left there. Being the owners of the vehicle, they don't seem to appreciate the unwanted attention, so they try to shoo the bull away, but not very confidently.

Then, out of nowhere, "dad" appears. Apparently, it was the man's 81st birthday that day and, boy, does he seem like the type who really lived his life. Without hesitating too much, the pensioner enters the bull's enclosure with a cunning plan. He grabs a large bottle of water and throws it at the bull. The beast jumps back with the kind of surprising agility that's responsible for a lot of casualties in Pamplona, but after the initial scare, it seems happy about the new toy.

Grandpa isn't content with simply shifting the animal's attention from the car to the water container, and rightly so because before too soon, the bull gets bored. We're no bovine experts here, but we've seen our fair share of videos of cows playing (what, doesn't everybody?), and we feel that's precisely what Ferdinand here was doing. He doesn't seem aggressive. But that's still 1,000 pounds of muscle and fat with two pointy horns at one end that want to treat you very similar to that water bottle.

The fun goes on for a while and finishes with a western-style face-off between the old man with balls the size of China and the bull who, if there wasn't any human intervention, probably has pretty impressively-sized gonads as well. We can't make up our minds whether this clip is funny or scary, so we'd appreciate a little help. It's probably both, but what do you think?
