700 hp Perfectus SLR McLaren Presented by ASMA Design

German tuning firm ASMA DESIGN has been especially known in recent years for a lot of flamboyantly-designed products based on high-end Mercedes-Benz models. Their most recent work continues to shock the good-taste patrol in almost every country out there. Their optimistically-named Perfectus SLR is based on the already-highly-capable Mercedes-Benz SLR Mclaren 722, but it now produces no less than 700 hp, compared to the “modest” 650 hp exhibited by the “standard” version of the car. Companies like RENNtech have already bettered the Perfectus' horsepower figures, but ASMA's ace up the sleeve comes in the form of an all-carbon fiber body kit that looks Batman-ready from almost any angle. Erturul Asma has only praising words for its creation, but, just like on most of ASMA's spawns, the Perfectus has something that really scratches our retinas everytime we zoom in any of the pictures. We applaud the heavy use of unpainted carbon fiber, the wider-than-a-truck and lower-than-a-train-barrier look of the bodykit, but the details are on the boundary between kitsch and shed-made “home tuning”. To complement the wider-than-life fenders, 255/30 and 325/20 rubber sitting on 20 inch black “dubs” were added by ASMA. Some really aggressive but aerodynamically questionable design lines were also sculpted into the body work. ASMA themselves are saying they were “F1-inspired”, but we fail to see their actual purpose. Although the Perfectus looks to have been beaten with an ugly stick during its completion, we have to praise the technological performance which has now left a bit less room under the hood, so we'll just leave you with the provided specifications. They don't seem to be exactly ground-breaking when compared to the original SLR 722, but the 129 hp/liter ratio doesn't look bad at all when bragging to your buddies in the Emirates. Technical Data:
