Ever wondered how you and your mother could easily rival Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee? One Youtube user appears to have found a pretty good answer to this question and it all involves his Porsche 911.
The man simply asked his mom to drive his Neunelfer, which belongs to the previous 997 generation and matches the flat-six at the rear with a six-speed manual.

The footage only lasts for one minute and 45 seconds, as the drive is a short one. Nevertheless, the dialog between the two deserves some popcorn. The woman and her son know how to put on a show while being natural and having fun in the process and this is one of the coolest pieces I’ve seen in a while. Spoiler alert: second gear is the name of the adventure we’re looking at here.

Yours truly can easily resonate with this situation, where the guy’s 70-year old mother shows she can connect to the rear-engined machine. That’s because I recently had a blast together with my mother doing the same thing.

Going past the initial questions, such as “does your car drive like my car?”, my mom got the picture pretty quickly. She’s always been the spirited type who ended up in fourth gear before she knew it, so I did have some explaining to do.

Nonetheless, I invited her to engage in an active conversation with the throttle in third gear. By the time she tried this the second time, she was no longer refraining herself from welding the pedal to the floor.

Errr.... nope. We didn’t try the no-lift shift trick. Instead, she quickly got used to the new lever of power, which is about double to what she was used to. As a result, she had me wondering what would happen if we’d triple the power in the future...
