Child car seat producer Britax has recently announced a voluntary recall that affects a total of 55,455 units, with the company explaining that the seats contain pieces that could allow children to bite them off and thus can cause chocking.
The models included in the campaign are the Pavillion 70 G3, the Boulevard 70 G3 and the Advocate 70 G3. These had been fitted with soft materials around the occupant in order to offer extra comfort, but there have been three reports of children biting into the material, managing to dislocate a piece and chocking on it.

Britax will replace the padding with one that uses a firmer materials and is advising customers to remove the current padding as soon as possible and use the seat in a more basic form until the operation is performed.
