We are almost ready to see the big reveals coming at the 2023 Los Angeles Auto Show. Toyota decided to steal the red carpet's spotlight as early as possible by introducing the 2025 Crown Signia crossover SUV and the ninth Camry mid-size sedan.
The double unveiling is not uncommon for the Japanese automaker if we remember this summer's Lexus GX and TX premiere. The new Crown version is a veritable crossover SUV, unlike the funky $40k sedan, and also has a little more hybrid power (243 hp) compared to both the regular Crown and the new Camry.

The latter, on the other hand, is for the first time offered with an electrified powertrain and electronic AWD across all trims and features the latest Toyota Hybrid System (THS 5), packing 225 or 232 combined ponies with front- or all-wheel drive. There is also some bad news related to the grade system and powertrains – no more V6 and no variants like the TRD because the hybrid drivetrain is the only one available across the LE, SE, XLE, and XSE trim levels.

The latest evolution of the best-selling Camry – America's most popular sedan – will hit dealerships starting next spring alongside other iconic models like the returning 2024 Land Cruiser off-road SUV. But it's not going to offer nearly as many options as before – the 2024 Camry and Camry Hybrid feature all four 2025 Camry grades plus Nightshade, TRD, and XLE or XSE V6 models.

Well, some people might not like that too much and could even take matters into their own hands to change the situation. Or instead, at the tip of their CGI brushes, as we are now going to talk about the imaginative realm of digital car content creators. Hot on the heels of the official premiere, Dimas Ramadhan, the virtual automotive artist behind the Digimods DESIGN channel on YouTube, has already taken up the task of revealing the sportiest 2025 Camry trim he could dream of.

More precisely, meet the hypothetical all-new Toyota Camry GR Sport, a performance sedan inspired by the models from the Toyota Gazoo Racing family – more specifically, America's GR Corolla, if we are to note the hints provided by the triple exhaust system. Hopefully, if Toyota ever decides to make a Camry GR, they won't downsize the engine even further to GR Corolla and GR Yaris' 1.6-liter turbo levels.

Instead, suppose our two cents are allowed on the matter. In that case, we suggest that Toyota's engineers should consider giving the Camry a taste of the i-Force Max hybrid power – the 326-hp ensemble seen under the hood of the N400 Tacoma and 2024 Land Cruiser would be pretty awesome, indeed! What do you think?
