The South Korean automaker recently announced its sales performance through April in the United States, where its EV sales are flourishing, with the best zero emissions in April to date.
Naturally, the situation is bolstered by the recent addition of the EV9 family-sized three-row electric crossover SUV and Kia's fully electric vehicles, which have taken off with a 144 percent year-over-year increase. SUVs, of course, now account for 81 percent of Kia's US sales, with special mentions for the best-ever April of Carnival, Telluride, and Sportage. The new Sorento also jumped 24% over April 2023.

All in all, Kia isn't on par with the performance from last year, though, with 245k deliveries through April compared to 252k for the January to April period of 2023. No worries, though, as things will look up a lot better, and soon – Kia introduced an all-new design ethos along with the EV9, and they have an additional four models that adopted the new styling lifestyle: the Sorento family, the Carnival people mover, the refreshed Kia K5 mid-size sedan, as well as the all-new K4 compact saloon.

More are coming, of course – both in the EV field (like the previewed EV3 and EV4) as well as across the ICE-powered roster. Naturally, with the refreshed 2025 Hyundai Tucson already up for grabs following the 2024 New York International Auto Show presentation, everyone and their mother hopes, believes, and knows that a facelift for the 2025 Kia Sportage is also around the corner. Obviously, the rumor mill is fueling rampant speculation with various captured prototypes that leave much to interpretation due to heavy camouflage.

Alas, the imaginative realm of digital car content creators doesn't need much more for their vision of the refreshed 2025 Kia Sportage. Just recently, the digital creator 'NYMammoth,' who loves both NYC and South Korea, which is why many of his virtual creations focus on the American lineup of Kia and Hyundai, has focused his CGI attention on the South Korean compact crossover SUV. Even better, the pixel master not only shows the creative process in this behind-the-scenes making-of video but also explains all the details that led to the creation and showcases a host of ritzy colors.

The main narrative is about the front, which is set to undergo massive changes that will align the 2025 Sportage with the Carnival and Sportage, but at the very end of the feature; there is also a glimpse of the unofficial rear side of the CUV. Always a good value for money (the 2024 model year kicks off at $27,190 sans destination), the Sportage will probably receive a major redesign, unlike its 2025 Hyundai Tucson cousin, but will remain one of the most distinctive-looking SUVs on the road, regardless of price. What we don't expect is a change of powertrains, though.
