Nissan's premium car brand Infiniti has a new toy in its portfolio. It's the 2025 QX80, a brand-new generation of the full-size premium SUV that continues the flagship role and offers a glimpse of the company's future with a new design language.
The QX Monograph Concept from last year previewed the design language, and it's called the 'Artistry in Motion.' It's a striking styling that can be categorized as being familiar and fresh at the same time, with a new interpretation of the grille, split lighting units that actually look good on this model, a flat hood, flush-mounted door handles, a new greenhouse, and a full-width light bar at the rear.

Infiniti's all-new QX80 has a tech-infused cockpit with large dual 14.3-inch displays. The central screen has Google built-in features, with stuff such as the Play Store, Assistant, and Maps being on deck. A combination of leather, metal, and wood can also be seen alongside the 64-color ambient lighting, a push-button gear shifter, a cool box in the center console, heated and ventilated seats for the first and second rows, heated third rows, massaging seats, etc.

It is also much cleverer than before, with the Japanese automaker giving it an optional biometric cooling system. This gizmo uses an infrared sensor mounted in the headliner, which detects if those sitting on the second row are hot and automatically adjusts the climate control quickly and accordingly. New cameras are also included, and customers can order it with seating for seven or eight. It's also worth noting that it offers more interior room than before.

Under the hood lies a new 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6, which develops 450 hp (456 ps/336 kW) and 516 pound-foot (699 Nm) of torque. It is 50 hp (51 ps/37 kW) and 103 lb-ft (139 Nm) punchier than the old 5.6L V8. It features a nine-speed automatic transmission instead of the old SUV's seven-speed unit, a four-wheel drive system, and clever air suspension that can lower or raise the body for different duties, including off-roading.

Those who want to get their hands on the new Infiniti QX80 will have to wait for the auto firm to open the order books this summer. Pricing starts at $82,450, plus the $1,995 destination charge, so it is more expensive than the old one, which was offered from $74,150. Nevertheless, before Infiniti starts accepting orders for it, the 2025 QX80 keeps making headlines, often unofficially, as is the case with the pictured copy.

It's a rendered example featuring two sets of aftermarket wheels with larger diameters than the stock one, which gets a lowering kit. Although it may look sportier compared to the real thing, these modifications mean that it would be stiffer and, therefore, less comfortable, and that's an issue during daily driving duties. But would you be willing to sacrifice its comfort for sportier looks?
