Back in August, one of the major highlights of the automotive industry – alongside the 2024 Toyota Land Cruiser, 2025 Cadillac Escalade IQ, and the entire Monterey Car Week – was also the global premiere of the 2024 Hyundai Santa Fe in… Santa Fe, New Mexico, of course.
While the 2024 Kia Sorento chose the safe route of a remarkable facelift, its sibling Hyundai Santa Fe crossover SUV went all in on a new generation that features a massive rift from the sweeping styling of all four preceding generations. Credited with an integral part of making Hyundai a household name during the 2000s in America, the Santa Fe mid-size crossover is ready to embrace a completely new, boxier, and more adventurous philosophy starting in early 2024.

Until then, customers can still choose a fourth-gen 2023 Santa Fe if anyone's afraid of the new styling or the potential MSRP hikes compared to the $28,750 Santa Fe, $36,120 Santa Fe Hybrid, and $42,410 Santa Fe Plug-in Hybrid models. Or, if they're not exactly of the early adopter type, they could also be a little patient and let Hyundai iron out all the initial quirks and issues with the MX5 generation's 2024 model year.

That's because automakers usually try to keep interest high with different stuff. And, if we are to believe the imaginative realm of digital car content creators, Hyundai should not only come up with the traditional N-Line derivative but also with a 2025 Santa Fe 'Night Edition' that's as menacing as pitch-black darkness. Or not; it is your choice because, as always, beauty is solely in the eye of the beholder.

The good folks over at the AutoYa info channel on YouTube have imagined the CGI looks of the unreleased and unannounced Santa Fe 'Night Edition' because the host believes Hyundai will try to diversify its offering in the hope of better fighting its mid-size crossover SUV rivals, including new releases like the 2024 Toyota Grand Highlander. As such, in America, there's a big OEM and aftermarket love for so-called 'murdered-out' appearance packages where all trim elements, the wheels, and maybe even the interior only feature one color – black.

Of course, that doesn't mean the body has to stay black, too, like the rest of the styling touches. Instead, the channel's resident pixel master also proposes the 2025 Santa Fe 'Night Edition' with a slew of different colors – from red to green and from brown to white. Sure, it remains to be seen if Hyundai will go down this route or if it is just a figment of imagination. However, there's logic behind it – just look at the growing 'Nightshade' family that encompasses some of the most popular Toyota models, both passenger cars and crossover SUVs.
