Just recently, the 2024 Ford F-150 was refreshed in time for its apparition at the 2023 Detroit Auto Show (NAIAS – North American International Auto Show), but GM didn't want to clash with the best-selling full-size truck nameplate in America.
Instead, the US automaker refocused its attention on the neglected passenger car side of things and revealed the facelift for the 2025 Cadillac CT5 business sedan. GM was also the only carmaker to flaunt a second crucial introduction at the disappointing 2023 edition of NAIAS – the all-new 2024 GMC Acadia.

The latter was reworked back to the full-size sector and acted as the sibling to the Chevrolet Traverse – it, too, got a third generation to help GM fare better in the field of crossover SUVs. So, it seems that GM has the three-row CUV sector well covered, as we also saw last year the Buick Enclave get refreshed. But how about the company's full-size SUVs?

Well, the rumor mill has been longing for a piece of the Chevy Tahoe and Suburban pie for a long time already – and the imaginative realm of digital car content creators are supporting their quest for additional greatness with their CGI takes on the matter. For example, the "Halo oto" channel on YT provides fresh automotive info that is corroborated with their virtual designs; now, there are some CGI ideas about a facelifted 2025 Chevrolet Tahoe.

Born as the successor of the Chevrolet K5 Blazer and GMC K5 Jimmy alongside its badge-engineered GMC Yukon counterpart, the Chevy Tahoe has been a staple of the full-size SUV segment since 1994 – and next year, GM will surely celebrate its 30th anniversary with lots of goodies. Of course, the rumor mill believes a refreshed Chevy Tahoe is on its way to mark the milestone positively.

And the channel's resident pixel master quickly imagined a way to make everyone join in on the novelties – a refreshed 2024 or 2025 Chevrolet Tahoe Z71, the most off-road-oriented trim in the family, which currently includes both 2WD and 4WD models plus LS, LT, RST, Z71 (4WD only), Premier, and High Country grades.

According to their unofficial depiction, not much will change for the facelifted 2024 or 2025 Chevrolet Tahoe full-size SUV – General Motors will instead update the styling to bode well for the latest releases like the Traverse. That could easily mean Tahoe will adopt a two-tier front headlight design ethos – aka split-headlight units. Or not, because – remember – this is merely wishful thinking.

Do take all this with a massive pinch of salt, as nothing is official from Chevrolet just yet. However, the US automaker probably won't be late for too long with this major refresh as it also needs to address concerns regarding the larger Suburban sibling. So, what do you think – do we give this project our CGI hall pass or not?
