The 2024 Tesla Model 3 is now available for order in the United Kingdom. There are several markets where customers can buy one, but the car is not yet available in its home market, the United States of America.
The British customers can now spec their new Tesla Model 3. The car starts at 39,990 pounds, which translates to $48,752. This is how much they would pay for the rear-wheel drive version.

The official website claims the delivery date is January - February 2024. The rear-wheel drive Model 3 sports a range of 318 miles (512 kilometers), according to the WLTP testing cycle.

Meanwhile, the dual-motor all-wheel drive Model 3 starts at 49,990 pounds (around $60,945) and comes with a 390-mile (628-kilometer) range. The delivery date is the same, and so is the top speed of both: 125 mph (201 kph). The rear-wheel drive Model 3 hits 60 mph (97 kph) from 0 in 5.8 seconds, while the all-wheel drive variant takes 4.2 seconds for the same run.

The United Kingdom is thus joining other right-hand drive markets that are already getting the car that was known as Project Highland during the development stage. Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, and Singapore have order books open already. The cars that are sold there are exported from Shanghai China, where we have already seen cars piling up, ready for being shipped around the world.

Customers in Germany, Norway, Sweden, Spain, France, and many others from Europe, alongside those in mainland China, are able to take a refreshed Model 3 home. Trailer trucks carrying cars have been spotted on the European roads.

Meanwhile, the North Americans are stuck with the pre-facelift Model 3, which is still available for order. The updated version is not available there yet. And it could be because the cars destined for American, Canadian, and Mexican markets are assembled at the Giga Factory in Fremont, California, where production is set to start soon.

Several cars have already been spotted in the US and posted on former Twitter/current X. That should be a sign that the updated Model 3 should hit the market in the near future. But knowing Tesla and the company’s issues with meeting deadlines, we can’t possibly tell for sure when that happens. Something that makes things even more confusing, the car spotted last week in California was one coming not from the US but from China as well, as the Chinese lettering on the tailgate shows.

Tesla is also focusing on delivering the Cybetruck, which entered low-volume production at the Giga Texas back in August. Mass production will kick off by the end of the year.
