The GT3 RS for the 992 generation isn't for the faint of heart. Porsche designed this version of the 911 with the racetrack in mind, a Neunelfer that generates a staggering 860 kilograms (1,896 pounds) of downforce at 285 kilometers per hour (177 miles per hour). Top speed? 296 kph (184 mph).
Zero to 100 clicks, which is 62 miles per hour in the United States and the United Kingdom, takes 3.2 seconds. Part of the secret to this mind-boggling acceleration is the dual-clutch transmission with a shorter overall gear ratio than the 992-generation Porsche 911 GT3.

Also remember that Porsche knows a thing or two about launch control, and that Rennsport versions come with super-sticky rubber. The 911 GT3 RS is on the light side of six-cylinder sports cars as well, tipping the scales at 1,450 kilograms (3,197 pounds; unladen DIN rating).

If you were presented with a drag race between a 992-generation 911 GT3 RS and the most performance-oriented Urus to date, would you bet on the Porker? The answer is – most likely – duh, but you'd be surprised how fast the Lamborghini is in the standing kilometer.

Both cars launch pretty much neck and neck, and stay almost side by side until the end. The GPS performance meters recorded 20.4 and 20.5 seconds, which is crazy impressive for the Urus.

One tenth over a kilometer (0.6 miles) against one of the most extreme sports cars ever produced is borderline ridiculous, especially if you remember that Lamborghini's utility vehicle weighs 2,225 kilograms (4,905 pounds). Truth be told, it's a torque monster with 850 Nm (627 pound-feet) to its name. Maximum power is 666 metric ponies or 657 mechanical ponies, which makes the Urus Performante the most powerful application of the Audi-Porsche V8 we all know and love.

The GT3 RS also runs a 4.0-liter engine, albeit with two fewer cylinders and two fewer turbochargers. Don't forget this flavor of the Neunelfer is strictly rear-wheel drive as opposed to all-wheel drive for the Urus, making the aforementioned result all the more interesting.

At press time, $241,300 is the starting price of the GT3 RS, making it one of the most expensive 911s on sale today. For reference, the 911 Sport Classic is $272,300, whereas the 911 Dakar costs $222,000.

The Raging Bull is a little more secretive about its retail prices, although we do know the Urus Performante is more than $260,000. That's approximately $35,000 more than the Urus S, which features the very same engine. On the other hand, the Urus S delivers maximum torque for a wee bit longer, with Lamborghini quoting 2,300 to 6,000 revolutions per minute as opposed to 2,300 to 4,500 for the Urus Performante.

Both of them will be discontinued in 2024 as Lamborghini prepares to electrify the Urus for the 2025 model year. A plug-in hybrid prototype with no camouflage whatsoever has been recently filmed together with the successor of the Huracan, which is also getting a plug-in hybrid setup. And a V8 mill…
